This award was established by former student-athlete, George Lotterhos, who was a letterwinner as a defensive player from 1968-69-70. He graduated from the UM School of Business in 1971 and entered the financial world where he has been active for the past 50 plus years. His leadership, service, and commitment to the Ole Miss M-Club, led to the formation of this award to support former letterwinners dedicated to the M-Club. As he served as one of the founding members of the Grove Bowl in 1989, he was also instrumental in the establishment of the M-Club Athletic Hall of Fame. Over the years, the organization has recognized those that have put time, energy, and effort into supporting the M-Club and its endeavors.
